The foundation of her therapeutic orientation is based in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) with elements of both Cognitive Therapy (CT) and Rational Emotive Behavioral Therapy (REBT). Additionally, she believes in the power of telling one’s own story through Narrative Therapy (NT) and acknowledging the socio-political and systemic factors which can be traumatic and impact a client’s mental health. She seeks to empower her clients to be influential in the betterment of their own mental health and to take the skills and techniques she introduces to them outside of counseling and into the world on their own.
